Is this a good deal? Will we have equity at the end of the PCP?

I am currently driving a 2006 Audi A3 Special Edition 1.6 auto petrol (31,000 miles) and my husband wants me to upgrade. We looked at a 2008 Mercedes CLS320 cdi (26,215 miles), the dealer is offering to part exchange allowing £6,000 for the Audi, they are selling the mercedes to us, through a PCP agreement, for £22,050.00 on a 3 year contract guaranteeing the value at just over £10,000 at the end of 3 years.

This deal would bring our monthly payments to £295 which is less then we currently pay for the A3 on hire purchase (which is paid off in 2 months). It is affordable for us, but what I don't understand is what equity will we have at the end of 3 years to use as a deposit for another car?

I love the mercedes, gave it a thorough test drive today and cannot fault the car in any way. But I don't want to make a poor financial decision based on my love for luxury!

Forgot to add that the A3 has rear parking sensors as the only extra. The mercedes has a couple of extras and the dealer offered to have front and rear parker sensors installed.

Shifting gears (New Driver)?

So.......

Yeah, I have totaled up all the money I made from working in high school freshmen to senior year and have FINALLY got a car, with $5000 left over for maintenance given by my parents.

I am set on a used Audi s6. It only has 15k miles too and have personally checked out the car, its fine and will draw the attention of everyone in school for senior year hehehehehehe.

The car I was driving before....was a Toyota yaris used, automatic transmission. Piece of SHIT!

So, I want to know how hard it is to use manual shifting gears.

Of course, the Audi has tip tronic so I can choose, but how hard is it?

Specifically, my question is, the highway speed limit is 75, what if you reach that speed at gear 3 lets say? Do you just stick to that gear? Won't it over rev the engine or something?

Sorry if I sound dumb, its just that cars in America these days are all automatic and my dad just sold his manual accord, so i can't practice too much.

The lady I bought it from said they have owned it since probably 110,000.
I asked her if she new if the Timing Belt has been changed and she said she don't know.

I know they nee replaced every 80,000 miles or so.

Should I get it changed ( don't want to cause I'm not Rich! )

or do you think it was changed before the Lady I bought it from, bought it?

I am looking into getting a new SUV (a 2011 model in late 2011) and I am just doing a little research.

Please give me your opinion ON THE ONES I SAY ONLY, NO OTHER SUGGESTIONS.

1 Acura MDX (tech package), I like the power, room, safety and reliability.
2 Audi Q7 (3.0T) I am an Audi fan and I like this one, it has all of the options I want.
3 Toyota 4Runner (Limited 4x4) I like the nameplate, this one is not as luxurious as the others but I still would consider it.

4 Toyota Highlander (Limited AWD), average in most respects, it looks a little bland but nice

5 Nissan Armada (SL), if I wanted something a little bigger this would be it.

6 Nissan Xterra (SE), it offers a lot of power and cargo room if I wanted something smaller

7 A late entry the Mercedes-Benz ML350, I like the reliability of the brand, prestige and comfort of the vehicle.

So if it was your money what would you buy???
Billy- The BMW X5 has a split opening rear hatch, that would be my first choice if it was a one-piece rear hatch.

I have a new car loan for my 2004 Audi 1.8t Q paid 15,000 for it. This car is not as reliable as some of the slightly newer cars because of the engine change to a 2.0.

Was wondering If I find someone to buy it for what I paid for it..because I have seen many private party sellers selling the exact same car for 15000... would it be worth it to get in to a a newer car.

I am allowed to pay off balance with no penalty as per my auto loan contract. Even If I had to pay off some of the interest I have built up over 4-6 months that would be ok. I don't think they would be charging me 5 years interest If I pay it off in 6 months.

What do you think of the Idea. I would of course be putting money down on the newer car. Let me know what you think... If I was completely sure the car would last I would not even think of getting rid of it.

I have nothing but time. An A4 is a dime a dozen unless it's loaded and mint.

Generally they are worth 11,000 to a dealer and 13-14 for the average person.. however being loaded to the boards with Nav, sat radio and every other option does count for something.

It is worth about half the price of its new value. 02 hyundai elantra I had a couple of months ago was worth 4-5k mint. mine was ready to die and I got 2000 for it... and it was a pile of junk.

Even If I got 14 for it I would be happy.
But in general you are correct, It is a hard figure to get for this car. I will try anyway.. and If I don't I will just pay it off. no biggie.

By the way.. I already pay for insurance william. 80 a month for full coverage plus I upped my insurance coverage and added a lot of features.

Sound Trouble With My Laptop?

So my headphone jack is busted and when headphones are plugged into it, sound comes through the speakers and the headphones. I tried to fix this by disabling the speakers in the hopes that it would still play through the headphones. I went to control panel, hardware and sound, manage audi devices an foundd the speakers and disabled them. Then sounddidn'tt play through the headphones or speakers an when I went to turn the speakers back on, the icon for them was gone. I looked in the mixer too an the icon for the speakers was gone, Im left with just hdmi and some other thing. Soooo, I was wondering how I get my speakers back. Oh, and my computer is a windows vista.
Thanks, I have tried the device manager, but it has deleted the icon fo the speakers on that too. It only shows the hdmi and the other thing.

I need to know how to save up.. I have around $320-$400 so far. When I'm 16 I will have about 3 jobs to pay for insurance (Rita's Water Ice, a restaurant and somewhere else) and to pay for gas. Right NOW the car is about $30K, but I want this car, and no one can tell me otherwise that's why I'm buying it on my own. I know the car will be more when I'm 16. Or used Ferrari f430 or lamborghini Gallardo.
He really wants a new car, but he likes the Ferrari and lamborghini the best. He said he would be fine with a slightly used. Out of the new ones he changes his mind between the three every day. Honestly I would rather him have the maserati, it has back seats. None of the others have back seats.

1991 Audi 100 has a problem changing gears after a few minutes of driving and getting warm. Why?

The car is practically new. New transmission, new fluids, new air filter, etc. The Audi is in very good condition. Its just that one problem. By the time I drive a mile or two, it won't go above 3rd gear. I changed the transmission, fluids, etc. multiple times. But the problem persists. Although I have come up with a little remedy. When the gear won't change I swiftly turn off the car and turn it back on, then the gear shifts up to 4th, of course I make sure no one is behind me when I do that. Why does this happen to the 1991 Audi 100? Is there a permanent cure? Could it be the brain box, or the timing belt? Those are the only two things I haven't changed. The brain box is mighty expensive.
